You can start now and work through the course with guidance, encouragement and practical help along the way.
Who is this course for?
This introductory teaching qualification is suitable for people who are new to teaching, already delivering training or looking to develop others within their business or workplace.
It provides a foundation for teaching your specialist subject and can form part of your pathway towards further tutor or trainer qualifications. If you have a particular role in mind, we can help you identify your next steps and check the relevant entry requirements.
Flexible learning, with someone beside you
You will receive your course manuals, learning materials and additional resources, alongside:
-
Up to eight one-to-one tutor sessions to support your understanding and progress.
-
On-demand support when you need help between sessions.
-
Guidance and feedback as you work through the course.
-
An online microteach arranged for you, with learners taking part.
You can work at your own pace, with a tutor team who want you to succeed. If something is unclear or you feel stuck, please ask—that is what we are here for.
Putting your learning into practice
As part of the qualification, you will deliver a 15-minute microteach on a subject of your choice.
We arrange this online, with real learners taking part, so you do not need to organise your own audience. It is your opportunity to put your learning into practice and build confidence in planning and delivering a short teaching session.
Why learn with The Skills Surgery?
Support is at the heart of our approach. We want you to understand what you are learning, feel confident asking questions and keep moving towards your goal.
Our course has an over 90% success rate, and we are proud of the part our personal tutor support plays in helping learners achieve.
When comparing courses, consider the support included as well as the price. Opportunities to speak to a tutor, receive feedback and work through challenges can make a real difference to your experience.
Whether you are beginning your teaching journey or preparing for your next tutor qualification, we will help you take that next step with confidence.
