STA Level 2 Pool Water Testing will qualify you to carry out pool water tests!
This Ofqual regulated qualification will take under 5 hours to complete and be valid for 5 years! This fun and informative qualification will give you the confidence to pool water test and ensure your pool water is balanced beautifully so all swimmers can enjoy.
It is perfect for those responsible for carrying out routine pool water tests. Many lifeguards for example must test pool water as part of their job role, and this qualification gives learners the basic information and skills necessary to competently test swimming pool and spa water, whilst providing a basic understanding of the outcomes of those tests.
If you thought science was boring then think again as we take you on a journey to unmix your alkaline from your acids without taking you to breakpoint (we will teach you what breakpoint is though!)

Your tutor Lynn Goring-Crook will train and support you through this course, passing on her vast experience from the pool plant.
At The Swim Surgery we tutor to the highest standard in a fun yet informative way and our pastoral care is second to none, with learner support throughout the evenings of your course and post course as you start your career.
Your Cirrus theory exam will be on 16th April from 7.30am - log onto our Cirrus system to take your theory exam from the comfort of your own home. Your exam is online using our CIRRUS system . Log on for 20 minutes at a time to suit you until the clock strikes midnight! At that time you wont turn into a pumpkin but the exam will shut. Please contact us if this is inconvenient.
To pass this qualification you are required to submit a video where you demonstrate conducting a poolwater test following what you have learnt on the course. This must be submitted by 15th April 2024. Please see below to read carefully what you need to access this course.

To take part in this course you will need access to the following:

-Computer, laptop, tablet or phone for viewing and editing documents (word or pdf).
-Computer, laptop, tablet or phone for accessing google classroom
-Computer or laptop to access your online exam via Chrome, the system is called CIRRUS.
-Pen, paper, notepad as needed.
- Access to basic pool water testing kit and water including DPD 1, DPD 3 and phenol red tablets.
-Access to phone or other device to record a video
