Upskill with our next STA Level 2 Safety Award for Teachers with a TWILIGHT SESSION online for theory on 20th March and then 23rd March 2025 near Chichester for practical.

STA Level 2 Safety Award for Teachers March 2025
Theory online 20th March and 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Practical at Oakwood School, Chichester PO18 9AN 23rd March and 9am - 1pm
21st March - log onto our Cirrus system to take your theory exam from the comfort of your own home. Your exam is online using our CIRRUS system anytime. Log on for 30 minutes at a time to suit you. Please contact us if this is inconvenient.

Assessment on this qualification includes the following:

Meeting the contact hours by attending all the dates and times

Completion of a multi choice theory exam

Practical in CPR and first aid continuously assessed by the tutor

Practical in the pool on rescue skills and responding to emergencies assessed by the tutor
To access this course you will need the following:

A computer, laptop, tablet or phone with functioning mic and camera to join Zoom for theory and access your e-manual along with Nearpod and our interactive games (no prior download needed).

A computer, laptop, tablet or phone, and gmail account to access the google classroom where all pre course paperwork and comms will take place.

Access to the practical face to face bringing swim costume, shorts and t-shirt to wear in the pool.

A computer or laptop to access your CIRRUS exam via Chrome. This CANNOT be done on a phone or tablet. If you can not access CIRRUS it may be possible to take a paper exam. Please contact us to discuss.

Pen, paper, notepad as needed.

Pre-requesites:
- Be at least 14 years old
- Be able to swim 25 metres. Learners who cannot swim 25 metres must be capable of wading, and effecting a rescue, in a pool with a depth no greater than chest height
-Be able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool
