STA Level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching- Disability Swimming will qualify you to teach participants with special education needs and disabilities.
This Ofqual regulated qualification will progress your teaching career and expand your expertise to with valuable knowledge and understanding of additional needs and disabilities you can apply to your teaching in groups or one to ones.
This course can lead straight to paid employment teaching adults or children and meets CIMSPA’s employer-led swimming teacher professional standard.
Come and join us in our virtual interactive classroom to kick off your course as we walk you through the theory side of the course on 28th, 29th and 31st October with theory sessions ready for the practical to follow. Your course practical is then booked for the 3rd November at the lovely Oakwood Prep School, Chichester PO18 9AN. Here you will teach a wide variety of participants to under the supervision of your course tutor.
Your tutor Lynn Goring-Crook will train and support you through this course, passing on her years of experience in teaching and running a swim school.

STA Award in Aquatic Teaching – Disability Swimming
Theory online - 28th, 29th and 31st October 2024 online 9am - 3pm
Practical - 3rd November 2024, Oakwood School, Chichester from 8.30am - 1.30pm
Your Cirrus theory exam will be on Monday 4th November - log onto our Cirrus system to take your theory exam from the comfort of your own home. Your exam is online using our CIRRUS system . Log on for 1 hour at a time to suit you. Please contact us if this is inconvenient.

Pre-requsities:
-Be at least 16 years of age.
-Hold STA membership
-Hold the STA Award in Teaching Swimming qualification or acceptable equivalent (please note the Swim England SEQ Level 1 is not an acceptable pre-requisite)

To take part in this course you will need access to the following:

-Computer, laptop, tablet or phone for viewing and editing documents (word or pdf).
-Computer, laptop, tablet or phone for accessing google classroom
-Computer or laptop to access your online exam via Chrome, the system is called CIRRUS.
-Pen, paper, notepad as needed.
