Club helpers, Aquatic helpers, Swimming Teachers, Coachers and School Teachers responsible for supervising swimming. This course is often a pre-requestie for jobs in the aquatics industry. 

Your tutor Helen Bull will train and support you through this course, passing on their vast experience as subject matter experts

STA Level 2 Safety Award for Teachers April 2025

Theory and practical Arundel Lido, Queens Street, Arundel, 30th April and 9am - 3:30pm

Assessment

Assessment on this qualification includes the following:

  • Meeting the contact hours by attending all the dates and times

  • Completion of a multi choice theory exam

  • Practical in CPR and first aid continuously assessed by the tutor

  • Practical in the pool on rescue skills and responding to emergencies assessed by the tutor

To access this course you will need the following:

 

  1. A computer, laptop, tablet or phone, and gmail account to access the google classroom where all pre course paperwork and comms will take place. 

  2. Access to the practical face to face bringing swim costume, shorts and t-shirt to wear in the pool. 

  3. A blue or black pen for taking notes on the day and your MCQ. A paperback manual will be provided on the day.

Pre-requesites:

- Be at least 14 years old

- Be able to swim 25 metres. Learners who cannot swim 25 metres must be capable of wading, and effecting a rescue, in a pool with a depth no greater than chest height

-Be able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool
